So nice to run into your web site and find you creating and performing.
I doubt there never was and never will be a better 7/8 grade music department then what we had at Toms River Intermediate. Best Wishes. Frank Grassozf9rx

I accidentally ran across your music on Amazon and really love your singing. It takes me back to the "60's" when we enjoyed such great folk music. I, also, sang in coffeehouses and couldn't get enough of that music. I still prefer it to any of the new stuff that we have to listen to today! You are very accomplished with the guitar and piano, and very fortunate to be enjoying what you love to do. Keep it up!

Outstanding work!! Wife picked up one of your cds "Green Mountain Dreamin" at a thrift store for $1.00. Asked her what she thought she was going to get for a buck?? When I heard your work I was left in awe!! Fantastic music, could not help listening to it over and over. Can't put a fair price on the talent you have. Hope to catch you at one of your concerts.

Hi Mrs. Lutton! I just got off the phone with my sister Yvonne who told me of your website. Yvonne was at intermediate before 70 to 72 I think and I was got to sing in your chorus from 74-76. It was great to go through the site and see what you are doing. Congratulations on following your dream! I always think back on the days at East with fond memories chorus being some of the best. Thanks for the great memories. Take care. Have fun performing. Derek

Ms Lutton it brings tears to my eyes that I found you. You were my wonderful music teacher in the early 60's at North Dover School. You were Miss Koth to me then. The music you introduced to us in
school stuck in my mind throughout my life. So I do have you to thank for exposing me to the world of
music that I so deeply love. Hope to see you again,
stay well. Kim

I took the longer beach route to work this morning to allow a little more time to listen to "Soundscapes" for the first time. Mary's wonderful piano work and a dramatic morning sky over the Atlantic put a smile on my face!

Hi Mrs. Lutton - I was so excited to find your webpage. I don't know if you remember me. I was in your TRISE choruses in 1974 - 76. You had such a huge influence on me. I have been a music educator for 27 years and am currently teaching music at Lake Riviera Middle School in Brick. We are in the process of rebooting the chorus program as well as beginning a guitar program.
You look and sound wonderful!
I am also the music minister at Brick Presbyterian Church and am wondering if you would like to plan an AMG performance in our brand new christian life center some time in 2012. It would be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect.
I look forward to future communications with you.
Peace, Christy

I was one of your students at Toms River Intermediate school in the 60's and your beautiful rendition of a song about two brothers, one wore blue and one wore gray has been a pleasant memory throughout the years. Thank you.

Mary, I just came across your music and truly love your style and song selections. In 1963 at he age of thirteen I would strap my first guitar on my back and take the train from my Queens NY home down to Greenwich Village. I was exposed to some of the best music and people willing to teach a kid some chords. Your music and style brings me right back there. I never stopped playing but family obligations were my first priority. Now that my children have grown I have been playing everyday. I look forwards to seeing you proform and hopefully have the chance to meet you.

I wholeheartedly recommend "To Vermont With Love". There is an underlying emotional sincerity running throughout this excellent recording which transcends any ordinary work. From the exquisite packaging to the entirely original musical content, this album is like a breath of fresh Vermont air. Not unlike the picturesque streams and rivers of Vermont, the musical compositions possess a beautiful and distinctive melodic "flow". I found the mesmerizing lyrics to range from the deeply romantic to expressing the composer's longing for and love of the natural beauty of the Vermont countryside.
The "Lake Champlain Suite" is truly outstanding. It effortlessly inspires one to sense the bucolic atmosphere of this magnificent lake and its surroundings. I believe that it would make a wonderful soundtrack for a motion picture about this region.
This is an extraordinary recording which one will wish to repeatedly play.

Hi Mary, I'm really enjoying your two albums! The music is very top notch and well done, and the cases/layout/artwork are impressive. I think it's uncommon to find independent releases that are so professional looking and pleasing to the eye.
Your daughter has quite a voice as well. Did she study opera?
What was it like putting out an LP on Reprise in the 60's?

September 19, 2008

Hi Mary, I heard your song "Miss You" on KCSN 88.5 FM in Los Angeles. Loved it! It looks like I'd really enjoy more of your music too, so I'll be sure to buy copies of both your CDs on cdbaby!

I just listened to your CDs and absolutely loved them! I always worry when someone reinterprets my favorite songs, but you made every one of them better! Wish I were closer so I could come see you live!

Mary Lutton’s performances transcend the ordinary; they’re not what one expects in a local setting. Rather, Mary is polished; her elegant style lifts you from a coffee house and sets you gently down in a concert hall. Her music draws you in; you find yourself captivated by her guitar and focused on the words of her song. When the song ends it takes one a few moments to come back down from the heights she brought you to, to comprehend you weren’t at Carnage Hall, but the library or Green Plant. Few musicians can do that, Mary certainly can and does!
